Eye Care, You Should Too.

At Clarity Quest, we're dedicated to bringing clear vision and brighter futures to underserved communities through opportunities, research, education, and direct care.

About Us

Clarity Quest began with a simple vision: to make eye care accessible to everyone. Founded by passionate advocates for vision health, our nonprofit has grown from a small student initiative to an impactful organization that has helped hundreds of individuals gain access to proper eye care.

However, our definition of "vision" extends beyond eyesight. It also encompasses future potential. Driven by a deep love for STEM and a commitment to educational equity, Clarity Quest now doubles as an official testing site to provide crucial academic opportunities. We currently host competitions such as the AMC and AIME, and in response to widespread requests from CVHS, DeBakey, HISD, and community students whose schools do not offer these exams, we are actively working to host the F=ma, USAAO, and Linguistics Olympiads as well. By bridging this gap, we ensure that motivated students have the access they need for college applications and intellectual growth.

We believe that clear vision (both medical and academic) is a fundamental right, not a privilege. Through our fundraising efforts, research initiatives, and community outreach, we strive to eliminate barriers to eye care and promote eye health awareness.

Our journey started when we recognized the significant gap in eye care accessibility, particularly for underserved communities. Since then, we've been dedicated to bridging this gap through various programs and initiatives, from eyeglass donations to funding surgeries and supporting student research in the field of ophthalmology.

Our Progress

$400,000

In Surgeries Funded

Clarity Quest Eyecare Initiative has successfully raised over $70,000, allowing us to fully cover procedures totaling over $400,000, and provide essential vision care to underserved communities. These funds have been used to support eye exams, purchase corrective lenses, and facilitate vision screenings, ensuring that individuals in need receive the care they deserve.

1400+

Glasses Donated

Through our efforts, we have collected and donated more than 1400 pairs of glasses to those who lack access to proper eyewear. Each donated pair represents a significant improvement in someone's daily life, whether it enhances their ability to work, study, or navigate their surroundings with confidence.

3100+

People Reached

Our impact extends to over 3000 people, providing them with the gift of clearer vision and opportunities. By addressing vision impairment, we aim to empower individuals, improve quality of life, and contribute to the long-term well-being of our communities. Additionally, through hosting competitions such as the AMC and other various olympiads, we are able to provide our community with college-readiness opportunities. We have successfully hosted over 180 competitors in various competitions, and hope to reach out to more olympiads as a host center.

180+

Surgeries Funded

We've successfully funded over 180 eye surgeries worth over $400,000 for individuals who couldn't otherwise afford them, significantly improving their quality of life and restoring vision where possible. Clarity Quest remains committed to expanding our reach and continuing our mission to make vision care accessible for all.

Our Initiatives

1

Olympiads / Research Scholarships

We provide funding for high school student research projects in a scholarship format. Students can apply with a proposal/idea related to eye health, vision care, or ocular diseases. Our goal is to foster the next generation of eye care researchers and innovators. Additionally, we offer free/covered registration and proctoring of olympiad tests, including AMC and AIME.  We are looking to expand into F=MA and USAAAO.  We hope to extend opportunity of testing for olympiads to everyone.

2

Eyeglass Donation Program

Our eyeglass donation program collects used eyeglasses and redistributes them to individuals in need. We have donation boxes located at St. Johns School, DeBakey High School, Carnegie, and various optometrist offices. Your donated glasses can give someone the gift of clear vision.

3

Mentorship Program

Our mentorship program pairs experienced individuals living with blindness with children recently affected by eye disease. These mentors teach coping strategies and life skills, providing both practical advice and emotional support to help young people adapt to vision challenges.

4

Clarity Quest Clothing Brand

We've created a clothing brand that donates 100% of profits toward student-based research and medical care initiatives. By purchasing our merchandise, you directly contribute to funding eye care for those in need while spreading awareness of our cause.

5

Surgery Funding

We raise funds to sponsor eye surgeries for individuals who cannot afford them. Through partnerships with reconstructive ophthalmologists and local oculoplastics practices, we provide free surgeries and medical appointments for those in need.
